Beers, Kettlebells, and Oprah
September 23, 2008
What on earth do beers, kettlebells, and Oprah have in common? Right? They all play into the jam packed weekend that I just had.
This past weekend I attended the Ryan Lee Bootcamp III down in Stamford, CT. It was a great weekend and allowed me to catch up with some friends from the fitness industry that I normally only get to interact with via the web.
Here’s a video of a quick interview I did with Madman Underground Strength Coach Zach Even-Esh
What was even better was that I met a lot of people that have used Warp Speed Fat Loss and Your Naked Nutrition Guide – this was really great. Lots of great feedback on both programs and lots of people happy with their results.
Back to the title. Beer.
Thursday night I ended up having dinner and a beer with The Lou Schuler. Lou has written and/or served as the editor on so many books – New Rules of Lifting, New Rules of Lifting for Women, Testosterone Advantage Plan, etc, etc. Lou is great to hang out with as it is a great guy and always full of interesting stories from his days at Weider and Rodale.
Lou and I were also joined by Celebrity Trainer Valerie Waters. Valerie is on a mission to convince the whole world that they need a Valslide. I just got one so I’ll let you know what I think.
The official trainer of the Naked Nutrition Network, Keith Scott, also hung out that night. Keith has been putting up a lot of cool videos on foam rolling and how to get rid of neck pain (make sure to check them out).
Also this weekend I picked up a new kettlebell for fat loss DVD which I’ll review for you guys (after watching a little of it I realized that I have NO IDEA what I’m doing with my kettlebell - glad I got the DVD).
I also talked with the U.K.’s top special forces agent turned master trainer, Dax Moy. Day is on a mission to get on the Oprah show to help people achieve more goals and lead better lives. Dax is right on with his stuff. His program the Magic 100 is like The Secret on Steroids because it isn’t all think yourself happy stuff. It is a step by step plan to get what you want. I’m going to help Dax out with the Oprah quest so keep an eye out for more on that.

Wow…I was at the boot camp this past weekend and it is great to hear Zach Evan-esh speak those words. Great stuff!
