Sorry Mike,
The previous email was really for Jim Hart. But, Mike I liked your way of doing lean beef.

Mike,
I'd like to have the recipe for Blueberry Burger. I love variety in burgers, but prefer very lean meats.
Thanks,
Duncan McIntosh

Mike,
This is a great recipe. The red peppers and onions are not only high in antioxidants and vitamins but also have a high water content that give the burger some extra juiciness.
As a former chef and now personal trainer, I used to make regular appearances on a morning TV show here in Phila for Comcast network.I demonstrated a BLUEBERRY BURGER using the driest of meats- ground turkey breast. The berries give the burger the mouth feel of a high fat beef burger without the added calories. The berries are neutral so most people don't even know what they're eating. If anyone wants the recipe I will be glad to send it.
Thanks

Good idea with peppers - I put a small can of drained mushrooms and a small onion in a mini food chopper to get it really finely ground, I then add to either lean beef or turkey along with Cavenders Greek seasoning and/or worcestershire sauce. Mix in really well and form patties. Very good and moist (if you like mushrooms!)
