Naked Nutrition & Naked Juice

Naked Juice & AlmondsOver Easter weekend my wife and I traveled up to visit her family. I had packed the usual cooler full of travel snacks, some chicken, and leafy greens to eat over the weekend while away from home.

Unfortunately in an act of pure genius, I left the cooler on counter at my house.

Time to improvise.

2 hours into our trip we stopped at a grocery store off the highway. I grabbed some beef jerky, nuts, apples, and Naked Juice for us to have on the rest of our drive.

I had never had the Naked Juice before (seen in picture above). The company makes some pretty good fruit juices (no sugar added, lots of antioxidants, etc). I picked up the “protein” version and turned out to be great. It isn’t often you can buy a drink in the supermarket that packs 40 grams of protein!

My other “great find” was the pre-portioned almonds. Nuts are great, almonds are great, but….it is really easy to eat too many (especially cashews – I love cashews). In an effort to join in on the 100 calorie craze. The people have Diamond Almond have come out with the 100 calorie almond packs. Now to me a 100 calorie pack of nuts doesn’t make sense because in regards to nuts people talk in ounces. 1oz, 1/2oz, 3oz (if you’re really hungry). Regardless, these almond snack packs are convince and great if you are on the go.

Stick a box in your car and you’ll never go hungry…even if you do forget your cooler :)

Well, it beats someone grabbing a 100 calorie pack of just about anything else.
Come on, Mike, you should have forgotten your Cravers, too ;-)

Got something to say?
