The Key To Maximum Fat Loss

The key to maximum fat loss is often elusive to people because it really doesn’t have to do with the mechanics of nutrition or training. Finally, two weeks ago on the Biggest Loser TV show the nation was shown that key (although it was easy to miss if you weren’t paying attention). What am I talking about? Support.
Two weeks ago on the show the contestants were sent home for a week to visit family but they were being tested to see if they could lose weight when exposed to the environment that made them fat in the first place. In my opinion this was the best episode of the season because it showed what it really takes and how the contestants had changed.
The contestants that lost the most weight when they went home had the most support. One contestant’s (Dan) mother had a gym membership ready for him and a refrigerator full of fat burning foods. Needless to say Dan continued to lose weight when he was home. The two brother contestants (Mark and Jay) both lost significant weight while at home (Jay lost 16lbs!) – but they had wives that had committed themselves to losing weight while their husbands were away and thus had created an home environment that allowed Mark and Jay to eat right and exercise while away from “the ranch”.
The other contestants that didn’t do as well had friends who took them to their former favorite pastry shop where a pastry had been named after them while anther family spent a couple hours saying how proud they were of the contestant because of all the weight he had lost and then decided to take him to an all you can eat wing bar!
How is your life set up? Do you have the support you need? Is your environment arranged for fat loss success or failure? If you have been struggling with your fat loss and don’t know how to fix it – look at your environment, support, and make the necessary changes.
